JUVÉDERM®
JUVÉDERM® is a comprehensive facial filler made of hyaluronic acid. This FDA-approved dermal filler works similar to your body’s natural hyaluronic acid to add fullness and hydration to the skin.
SCULPTRA® AESTHETIC
Sculptra® Aesthetic is different from hyaluronic acid fillers, as it contains poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates collagen production in your skin. This FDA-approved injectable filler works to naturally and gradually restore smooth skin and a more youthful appearance over time.

RECOVERY
There is generally no downtime associated with an injectable filler treatment; patients can return to work and their normal routines immediately following the treatment.
There may be some slight bruising and swelling at the injection sites that should dissipate within a day. Patients should avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Any redness or bruising can be concealed with makeup until it fades.
RESULTS
Most injectable fillers immediately add volume to the face, but some build results gradually over time. The results generally last several months to several years depending on the filler used, the areas targeted, and the patient’s physical anatomy.
SCARS
It is rare to develop scarring after an injectable filler treatment. Any scars that may develop can be easily concealed with makeup until they fade.

HOW LONG DO FILLERS IN THE FACE LAST?
The results from injectable fillers can last from several months to several years. The longevity of the fillers depends on the treatment area and injectable administered.

WHICH INJECTABLE FILLER IS RIGHT FOR ME?

IS BOTOX® AN INJECTABLE FILLER?
While BOTOX® Cosmetic is a type of injectable, it is not considered a “filler” because it works in a different way. Rather than plumping the skin, BOTOX® is a neuromodulator that reduces the movement of the facial muscles that cause wrinkles, allowing the skin to smooth out.
WHAT AREAS CAN INJECTABLE FILLERS NOT TREAT?
Injectable treatments are designed to be temporary solutions for wrinkles and can not provide drastic, long-lasting changes.
If you’re experiencing sagging and other more extensive signs of aging, you may want to combine injectables with another procedure, such as:
- A facelift to lift the mid and lower facial tissue
- A brow lift to raise drooping brows and smooth the forehead

DO ANY FILLERS PROVIDE PERMANENT RESULTS?

There is a risk of complications with any plastic surgery procedure, but the chance of experiencing serious side effects with injectable fillers is rare.
